Edmonton Regional Women's Committee Visual Artistic Journal Event, September 28, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m.

The Edmonton Regional Women’s Committee has embarked on a series of workshops where PSAC Women create a Visual Artistic Journal based on feminist themes.

The first workshop was an introduction to your journal journey. Where they read a short piece on Uses of the Erotic: Erotic of Power (Citation: Lorde, Audre. “Uses of the Erotic: The erotic as Power.” Sister Outsider: Essays and Speeches. Freedom, CA: Crossing Press, 1984. 53-59). Once read participants completed the first two pages of their journal.

The second workshop participants were posed a questions about feminism and change in the workplace. They then spent the next few hours journaling their answers within their Visual Artistic Journal.

On September 28th, 2019 from 10 am to 2:00 pm, they will be hosting a third journaling event. The theme will be announced at the event but if you have started this journal journey the Edmonton Regional Women’s Committee hopes to see you attend again for this session. If you have not attended one yet please consider attending this wonderful workshop!
