Lethbridge Women's Committee Meeting

The Lethbridge Regional Women's Committee will be holding a meeting on June 4,2013 in the Lethbridge District Labour Council boardroom. A light supper will be provided at 5:30 with the meeting starting at 6:00. The Agenda is as follows:

1.       Welcome

2.       Approval of Agenda

3.       Resolutions from Prairies Regional Women’s Conference from our Committee  

4.       Report on activities since last meeting

• May Day – April 28, Day of Mourning for Members who have been injured or killed on the job.                       (Update from members who have attended)

5.       Upcoming Activities

• Lyn and Krysty to attend ‘Be the Change’ forum in Calgary on June 15t h – have application been submitted?
• Labour Day Activities – (Sherry/Shannan – update, what do you need from the rest of the committee?)
• Take Back the Night – with the Womanspace Resource Centre – around the 3rd week of  Sep (has anyone made contact with Womanspace and what do they need from us as a committee?)
• Sisters in Spirit Vigil – Oct 4 (Who will be the contact person?)
• Person’s Day – October 18  - (Maria to provide minutes)
• Nifty Knitters – late November (Supplies will be purchased in August and distributed at our Sep meeting, by whom?)
• National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women – December 6 (Who will be the liaison for our committee?)
• An Education Day – Set a date and a theme. (Maria volunteers to organize this training.  Are there speakers you would like to hear?  Will we invite coalition partners to attend?)
