5.) Winnipeg RWC Treasurer’s Report
Carol reported that we received $500.00 from Robin
A second cheque will be sent from Ottawa – PRC allocation
Carol spoke to changing the bank from CIBC to a Credit Union. She feels that the CIBC don’t give the RWC enough service. the bank also charges for any service requested. Should be no charges for a non profit organization. We also need a copy of cheque sent with the statements.
Carol moved that we change from the CIBC to the Credit Union

6.) Update – School Supply Drive
Tracy spoke to this. This has been confirmed with the Blue Bombers.
Sept 13/Sunday - Banjo Bowl
An e-mail to all locals to be sent out
Need for volunteers and Drive coordinator
Need containers for money with a sign on the can
Need someone to walk through the crowd with the cans
Need aprons with PSAC on them to state who we are
Need sandwich boards with info
Advertising through Blue Bombers Newsletter and in the Free Press
There will be an announcement the game before
It will also be flashed on the big board
Send info to Sylvia Kozak to announce
Ask locals to donate
Will also make cash donations to a school’s breakfast program
There will be parking passes
Second e-mail to be sent out to volunteer’s closer to date
Cathy volunteered to head up this incentive; she will work with Tracy
Need to speak to School Division before end of June to know which schools need assistance
7.) Habitat for Humanity – 2009 Volunteer Day
Tracy spoke to this. She stated that are volunteers for this and that there is a training day.
Training will be next Monday – June 21
Safety training in the office – 2 hrs
To participate you need to raise $200.00 for each person.
Get in touch with Tracy at the office
August 20 and 27 are the dates for the build.
Need 12 people per day
8.) Think Public Summer 2009 Campaign
Tracy spoke to this.
This is an Awareness Campaign
The RWC are doing things already
If anyone from the RWC wants to volunteer to do anything just get in touch with the office
9.) Collecting Bathroom Supplies
A suggestion was made that everyone collects their bathroom supplies from hotel rooms. We can then put together Christmas gift bags for the women’s shelters.
