PSAC Priorities
Third Choice Campaign
The CAC moved forward from the Prairies on Patrol Leadership meeting, and organized a Full Cup for Action event on Feb. 7 and 9th. The action was to attend choice transit stations during commuters travel – Calgary downtown early morning (7-9am) and park-n-ride in afternoon (330 - 5pm) -- to give out cups of hot chocolate affixed with Third Choice, and Public Service Cuts stickers as well handouts/data sheets, and the Third Choice cards for people to visit website and sign up. The goal was not only to inform our members but general public at large about what the attacks the Harper government is making on public services, dispell the bad publicity/rumor and promote PS quality jobs, and offer another choice for Canadians.
Regional Committees
Health & Safety
Communications have started with the new Committee reps. While changes with have occurred with members of the committee, plans are underway for the Prairies H&S Conference. Conference call and further discussion to occur in the near future.
