On September 26, 2013 the CEIU Women’s Committee, Local 30876 at CPC Vegreville, held a contest to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
The fundraiser challenged members to decorate their desks with as much pink as possible. The theme coincides with the international symbol for breast cancer –– the pink ribbon –– which has been a symbol of breast cancer awareness since 1991. The color was chosen because of its close association with femininity.
