Report of the Regional Executive Vice-President, Prairies to the Manitoba Federation of Labour Executive Council submitted for the December 2016 meeting. This report covers the period from the last MFL meeting.

In a letter of support and solidarity to UMFA President Mark Hudson, Marianne Hladun assured UMFA members that we stand together with them in their fight for fairness. Professors at the University of Manitoba are entering their third week of strike action. Hladun and PSAC members have been proud to walk the picket line with members of the University of Manitoba Faculty Association. Both sides have returned to the bargaining table, and we hope for a fair and equitable solution for all.
