Campaigner Training Overview:At this three hour workshop, campaigners will learn about the campaign and the important role they play in it. They’ll understand the threats posed by this government and the value of building the union’s visibility in the workplace, one conversation at a time.  They’ll learn about the importance of preparation, practice their conversational skills and discuss how they can support one another in the coming months.This training will be held at the Lethbridge Library.

This 3-hour workshop will provide a basic introduction to the current dispute and develop participants' understanding of the important role they play in effective collective bargaining.  We will learn more about our priority bargaining demands, picket line how-to's, and how we can maintain solidarity to pressure the employer. If you have any questions please do not hestitate to contact Dolly Ablitt by phone at 403-270-6555 or by email at ablittd@psac.com.

This is a course for the Lethbridge area only. The following is a description of the course: Course Description:Local union representatives meet with management representatives as equals for various reasons – grievance hearings, union management consultations and sometimes for collective agreement negotiations. The Facing Management course will develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively consult with or confront management to enhance the union’s presence at the workplace.

Everyone’s got an opinion, and we want to hear it. PSAC Prairies members are invited to share their thoughts regarding the 2013-2015 PSAC Prairie Region Education Plan at planning meetings throughout the Prairies this November and December.

The Prairie Region Council Education Committee has begun the process of developing the 2013 - 2015 Prairies Regional Education plan. We are gathering ideas and input from members across the region in a variety of ways:Membership Survey - open to all PSAC Prairies members. The survey takes about five minutes to complete, and each completed survey will be entered into a draw for a GREAT PRIZE (two prizes awarded in each province). The survey closes November 30 and the draw for prizes will take place December 12.
