Area Council in Winnipeg

WAC Bylaw 6, Sub-Section 2     There shall be separate elections for the offices of: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer as applicable. Elections of the Winnipeg Area Council officers shall take place at the AGM. Any member in good standing from an affiliated Local, Branch, DCL, RWC, or Constitutionally recognized Regional Committee is eligible to run. Only delegates from affiliated bodies and officers of the Area Council are eligible to vote.

Tuesday, December 15, 2015 Winnipeg Regional Office 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (doors downstairs lock at 6)   There will be a guest speaker (Siloam Mission), food, celebration and members from each committee to ask questions.  Let's get together to celebrate the positive achievements that have been made over the last year.

There will be an All Candidates Meeting for the Elmwood/Transcona area being held on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Canad Inns Club Regent location.

This 3 hour workshop is targeted to Local executive members and activists. The goal of the course is to assist these members in having important one on one conversations with in their members and communities on key election topics.      By the end of the workshop participants will know the key issues that Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Canadian Labour Congress have identified for the 2015 federal election campaign; feel more confident in having political conversation with members and be able to make strategic choices about political conversations.
