An invitation to active Union Stewards …

The PSAC Prairie region will be hosting a series of 1-day “Building the Union through Steward’s Work” events that include an evening meeting to develop the Prairies 2016-2018 Regional Education Plan.

Who should attend:

The Building the Union through Steward’s Work events are for active union stewards who want to develop their union-building skills and share collective solutions to workplace issues.  Participants will also draw on their steward experiences to help create the 2016 – 2018 Prairies Regional Education Plan.

What we’ll be doing:

During the day stewards will learn more about effective communication techniques, circles of influence, and strategies for resolving workplace issues.  In the evening stewards will be join by other union activists and together we will identify the key elements of the Prairies Education Plan for the next three years.

Dates, Locations and expenses:

Calgary, AB        Dec. 7th      9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. deadline to apply Nov. 24th

The PSAC will cover loss of salary and travel costs in accordance with our Travel policy.  Meals will be provided on-site, and Family Care costs (outside of regular working hours) will be compensated in accordance with the PSAC Family Care policy.

Dates and times are being confirmed for sessions in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge.
