ONE DAY SEMINAR ON UNIVERSAL CHILDCARE
QUALITY, AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE CAN BE A REALITY
The Northern Alberta Regional Women’s Committee has put together a one-day Seminar to discuss the topic of Universal Childcare. This seminar will start with some very knowledgeable and exceptional speakers on the topic of universal childcare. They will motivate you to become part of this movement that works towards a childcare system that will benefit ALL Canadians. You will have the opportunity to participate in a March for Universal Childcare that will assist in gaining the attention of government to make the necessary changes to put this in place. After a catered lunch there will be a workshop called Childcare: Making it a Reality where we will explore personal experiences of childcare among the participants and learn some of the realities families face today. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their advocacy skills for a National Universal Childcare Program and leave with a personal action plan.
Please note that this seminar is being offered by the Regional Women's Committee and no per diems or travel expenses will be paid.
A light lunch will be provided to participants, and there will be reimbursement for parking expenses.
