Health and Safety Activism- Lethbridge

This course will be held in the Magrath Room at the Holiday Inn Express on Mayor Magrath Drive South. The course will run from 8:30am -4:30pm on Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1st.

A safe and healthy workplace is a basic union worker right. This course will encourage members to ensure we have secure workplaces. Participants will start with their own knowledge of their work, and workplaces, and will critically examine the risks and responsibilities of workers and employers, including the notion of “worker carelessness”. Participants will develop action plans to involve members and to ensure the employer provides the necessary tools, training and funding to support a healthy and safe workplace.

Please note that this course will be held at the Calgary Regional Office and it is open to all Southern Alberta Locals.
