KAIROS Blanket Exercise

Join us for a workshop in reconciliation and Indigenous awareness.  The KAIROS Blanket Exercise is an interactive exercise that builds understanding about our shared history as Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada by walking through pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization and resistance.  Everyone is actively involved as they step onto blankets that represent the land, and into the role of the First Nations, Inuit and later Métis peoples.  By engaging on an emotional and intellectual level, the Blanket Exercise effectively educates and increases empathy.

Note: Registration is open to members within 60kms of Regional Office. Light supper from 5:00 – 5:30pm.  Exercise from 5:30 to 8:30pm.  End time for exercise varies as it is dependent on the group.
