Lethbridge & District Area Council Dragon Boat Team Call Out

This is the first call to participate in the Lethbridge District Area Council Dragon Boat team. This is an opportunity to bring together members of our union across components in Southern Alberta.  This year our team name is “Burnt by Phoenix” to bring awareness to the Phoenix issues that continues to plague PSAC members and their families.

This is a prominent weekend long (June 22-24, 2018) festival that promotes an abundance of community involvement for both racers and non-racers. It is big draw for Lethbridge and surrounding areas as there are several vendors, entertainment and activities for kids.

With support of the PSAC Area Council registrations is FREE, open to all members and includes:

- Two 1 hour practice *(each paddler must attend two practices in order to paddle during race weekend)

Practice Times:         Wednesday   May 30            7:15-8:15pm

                                    Thursday      June 7             7:15-8:15pm

                                    Thursday      June 21           7:15-8:15pm

(*if you’d like to join but cannot attend 2/3 practices, please let me know and we can set about setting up another time for practice!)

- Minimum 3 races (Friday June 22th – Sunday June 24th)
- Race weekend tent for you and your teammates
- Burnt by Phoenix Team T-shirt
- A great festival weekend complete with beer gardens, games for the kids and entertainment

All practices and race weekend takes place in Lethbridge, AB at Henderson Lake.
