This two and half day forum is designed to engage brand new stewards or members who are new to union activism.  We are looking for locals to identify and encourage participants who are just starting to represent members in the workplace, and have not attended any or very little formal PSAC education.  Members can expect to learn about the roles and responsibilities of the stewards in the workplace and in the union; obtain an overview of grievances; duty of fair representation and how to work through conflict.  The final day will see modules on duty to accommodate, health and safety and addressing mental health in the workplace.
