The Saskatoon Regional Office is pleased to offer the following Education workshop series’. They are two hours with a light supper provided. NO travel is allocated, so members must be in Saskatoon or on their own leave to attend. The per diem rate of $25.00 will be paid for attending.
1. Introduction for Locals – These two workshops are for local executive.
Sorting Out Work & Strategic Planning - CANCELLED

Description: Gives Local Officers essential knowledge for upholding their Local responsibilities and building a strong union. Participants learn: - how an effective Local functions; - roles and responsibilities of the Local Executive; - how Executives can work well as a team.

Description: Participants will explore ways to conduct more effective local meetings and engage their local membership This course will help develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively consult with or confront management to enhance the union’s presence at the workplace.
2. The two steward series workshops are intended for stewards but could be taken by any PSAC member.
DTA (Duty to Accommodate) / Working with Members with Disabilities

Description: This module will help stewards understand DTA. We will explore the range of visible and invisible disabilities that exist. Participants will better know the role of stewards in making workplaces accessible and inclusive to people with disabilities.
