February 18, 2014
8:00 pm to 9:30 pm

As February marks Black History Month, we would like to invite you to come out to a short film and panel presentation on February 18, 2014 at the Calgary Public Library Downtown. The event will run from 6-7:30 pm.

This short film and panel presentation is to honor Cal Best, one of the Founders of the Public Service Alliance  of Canada, who, as a black human rights activist, broke down barriers and changed mindsets. As a boy, Cal and his mother were expelled from their theater's Whites-Only section. He devoted the rest of his life to dismantling segregation.
