Donation Sorting - We need 10 people to help

Donation Sorting Shifts Groups

Duties: The Clothing/Personal Item Sorting Volunteer:

- Is responsible for sorting through donations of clothing and other personal items (toiletries, etc.) and deciding which items to keep and which to share with other organizations

- Is responsible for folding, hanging, and labeling clothing items according to size, type, and gender.

- Is responsible for keeping the clothing sorting area as tidy as possible

Requirement:    - You will be asked to fill out an application form including reviewing and agreeing to the policies and statement of beliefs

- Attend an orientation (immediately in advance of the volunteering)

- A heart for those who are experiencing poverty and homelessness

- Willingness to serve and work in a team with the other volunteers and staff

- Ability to make decisions of what donations to keep based on the suitability of items that suit the needs of the people we serve

Directions:     - There will be on the job training and orientation provided by Siloam support staff and/or experienced Clothing Sorting volunteers upon arrival.
