On March 16, the PSAC Prairie Region hosted a telephone town hall for Treasury Board members to give updates on Treasury Board bargaining and answer questions. We called nearly 10,000 PSAC members employed by Treasury Board throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
PSAC National President Robyn Benson and Prairies REVP Marianne Hladun gave members an update on sick leave and bargaining and answered questions.
"If we’re going to be successful in this round of negotiations, it is absolutely critical for all of us to support our bargaining teams," Benson told the members on the call. "We need to show the government that we’re serious about sick leave and serious about our bargaining proposals."
Meanwhile, Hladun reminded everyone that 2015 is an important year. "We’ll continue negotiating our new agreements but bargaining will get tougher, she said. "We’ll also have an opportunity to elect our employer. The choices we make in the next election will have a crucial impact on this and future negotiations."
For the PSAC members employed by Treasury Board who may have missed the telephone town hall, we recorded the event. Listen to it by clicking on the YouTube video below.
