Meeting Minutes
March 18, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m.
Brother Mark reminded attendees the Annual General Meeting is scheduled for March 30, 2010.
The minutes of the January 27, 2010meeting were reviewed. No changes noted.
Finances:
Brother Dan reviewed income and operating expenses for 2009 and the presented the proposed 2010 and 2011 budget. Brother Dan then left the meeting due to another appointment. Members discussed what donations have generally entailed in the past (Labour Day picnic, wreath on Remembrance Day, Unions of Regina Christmas dinner).
After discussion on the proposed budget it was agreed Brother Mark would ask Brother Dan to expand upon/provide detail for the donations and advertising/promotion line items and to create an education line item.
Upcoming Events:
· PSAC Representation Conference;
· Regina Labour Council weekend education event located at Campbell Collegiate;
· PSMA review – staffing.
Other Business:
There was a CLCpension information forum held on March 16 at the Delta Hotel. Approximately 10 PSAC members were in attendance. James Infantino of the PSAC participated on the panel.
The budget-watch event was very well attended and included media. The rumoured change to our pension seems to be catching the eye of members. The Court proceeding related to the appeal of the 1999 withdrawal of our pension surplus resumes in mid-April.
The North Central Family Centre forwarded a letter and DVDof the children’s Christmas party as a thank you to the Council for our $250.00 donation.
