Report to the Prairie Region Council

Brothers and Sisters,
Since my last report the following is what the Edmonton Area Council has been focusing on:
Elections were in December and I have since been elected as the new Chair. Brother Jerad Cooper is the Vice Chair. Brother Rick Parenteau is the Treasurer. Sister Jo Chelick is the Secretary.
We have yet to have a planning meeting and this will happen on February 16 where the committee will decide what the focus will be for the EAC in 2012.
In January's meeting we decided to focus on and revive Hands off our Pension Campaign. Brother Dave Burchell called Local Presidents to see if they would be willing to get members to sign the Letter to Flaherty and members of the EAC will be doing a plant gate at Canada Place handing out stickers to members and encouraging them to sign the letter to Flaherty.
Aside from that the EAC is working on preparing a budget as well as doing a small internal audit of the financials.
