PSAC is proud to offer funding to one union sister to participate in the annual Prairie School for Union Women (PSUW). This funding is available through the memorial scholarship established in the name of Sister Judy Shannon and will cover the costs of registration, travel and loss of salary.
Online applications for funding under the memorial scholarship must be completed by Monday, April 16, 2018 at noon. The successful applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application by Monday, April 23, 2018.
This year, the PSUW takes place from June 10-14, 2018 at Waskesiu Lake, Saskatchewan.
Requirements
- Members who can demonstrate their interest, commitment, or previous experience with women’s issues and union activism are encouraged to apply.
- Successful applicants will be required to participate in all events and, if able, are asked to document the experience through photos, video, and/or social media.
- Submit a report about the experience to the PSAC Prairies Regional Executive Vice-President and the Prairie Region Council.
