President’s Report

  • I attended the Saskatoon & District Labour Council’s AGM on Feb 10th – good meeting – there was a panel about domestic and sexual abuse, chaired by Andrea Howe (United Way Labour Rep) / another good point was brought out by the panel was that men should join Big Brothers because there are a lot of boys that are in desperate need of a positive role model. Ryan Meili and Trent Wotherspoon gave talks and stayed for a Q&A session.
  • The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour is selling H&B earrings as a fundraiser for shelters for victims of domestic abuse – campaign is called Love Should Never Hurt – End Domestic Violence.
