Health & Safety Mini-School

This 2.5 day pilot workshop will cover basic aspects of Health & Safety every steward should be aware of when representing members with workplace issues that pertain to their physical & mental health.  By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to;

  • Identify meaningful workplace accommodations  
  • Work with the members and the employer to create solutions for returning to work successfully after medical related leave  
  • Reference legislation along with case law that supports the Employers responsibility to accommodate members in the workplace and appropriately deal with workplace issues such as bullying and harassment. 
  • Create awareness and understanding when representing a member with Mental Health issues, and have tools on how to best provide support members affected.

N.B. On Friday May 31, Program begins at 5:30 PM
