The PSAC Prairie Region Health and Safety Committee is proud to present the next in our series of H&S related information sessions. In this interactive format, we will cover the different protections available to prevent COVID transmission in the workplace and in public and how our best approach is through using multiple layers of protection. In this webinar, we will focus particular attention towards ventilation and its impacts on the spread of the virus. We will explore topics such as air flow, HVAC systems and  filtration methods.

In this one hour interactive webinar, we provided an introduction to the new language for the federal public service covering violence in the workplace, which includes, but not limited to; bullying, teasing, mobbing, harassing, or other threatening behaviour that may cause offense or injury in a workplace. We provided an overview of the changes, as well as provide a wealth of resources. Some of the key areas that have been updated include;

This special webinar was an informative hour long session in an interactive format discussing mental health issues in these difficult times. We checked in with participants, explored challenges maintaining proper mental health, and provided tips and resources for those in need. We also has a special guest presenter, Dr. Leigh Quesnel, to tailor the discussion. Here is the latest installment of the PSAC Prairie Region’s webinar series!  The panelist for this webinar was Andrew Dolhy, CPE, Ergonomist for the Manitoba Federation of Labour Occupational Health Centre. Andrew detailed some of the common challenges and solutions to providing sound workplace ergonomics while working from home on a temporary basis. Andrew used a variety of interactive formats, such as slides and demonstrations of proper ergonomics using webcams, in an interactive setting.
