Meeting called to order at 5:30pm
Agenda and previous minutes presented & adopted
REVP
Bargaining update – Not much is new – Bargaining teams were in session Week of March 18th
PSAC seeking damages for its members from Fed Gov’t
PSAC is calling for a public inquiry into the Phoenix debacle since no one has been held
accountable for it
Federal budget – not much in there for Phoenix
Political Action – plan for political action for the federal election – Mail outs will happen with
questions for your MP’s – Possibly an all candidates forum
Saskatoon – Regional Strategy Meeting of Northern SK locals held on March 20th
Member Updates – contest winner for SK from CFIA – approx 2700 members updated their PSAC Profile &
approx 1300 members signed up – there are approx 21000 PSAC members in the Prairies region
University of Saskatchewan – post docs got their 1st contract – they are now considered workers and
pay into CPP & EI & can fund Parental leave, etc. Also included was a health plan.
Treasurer’s Report
Bank Balance as of February 2019 - $1262.67

1- Meeting Expense (Jan)- $54.18
2- Meeting Expense (March) - $64.39 Total = $118.57
Balance - $1144.10
The year-end Financial Package, as submitted to the REVP office, was presented to the committee.
Day of Mourning
Sister Jackie Nettleton will be attending the ceremony on Sunday, April 28th.
The committee is awaiting responses to the inquiries for a new ribbon for the wreath.
Day of Caring
Sister Jackie Nettleton is awaiting a response to her inquiries about the day that this will be.
The letter should be out within the next 2 weeks. As soon as she knows, she will distribute with
the hopes of a larger turnout this year.
Round Table
1 – Discussion around the UFCW 1400 strike (14 picket lines). Support them where and when
you can. Sister Jackie to inquire about dropping off coffee and food for the strikers.
