Joint Learning Program Callout

Looking for a chance to:

Improve the workplace and union management relations in the federal public service?

Develop or enhance your facilitation skills and gain Key Competency behaviors?

If the answer is yes then we invite you to apply to join our team of Joint Learning Program Co-facilitators!

This opportunity is open to Managers and Union members working for core Treasury Board departments.   You will be trained to co-facilitate jointly developed Union/Treasury Board Secretariat workshops to Federal Government Employees.

The seven workshop topics are:  Understanding the Collective Agreement, Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace, Duty to Accommodate, Respecting Differences Anti-discrimination, Employment Equity, Union Management Consultation and Mental Health in the Workplace.

After receiving one week of facilitator orientation training, you will be expected to co-deliver a minimum of five workshops for the JLP over the next eighteen months.  This would mean a total time commitment of approximately 15 to 30 days.  Your employer’s approval and support for this time commitment is necessary to be considered for JLP facilitator training and certification.

All costs associated with the orientation session and the subsequent facilitated workshops - travel, accommodation, meals etc. are paid by the JLP.  Your employer is responsible for covering your salary to attend the orientation session, for your workshop preparation and delivery days, and any travel time involved.

A facilitator orientation session for the Prairies/NWT Region will be held in February 2020.  You can get more information and apply on line by visiting our web site www.jlp-pam.ca.

Please ensure your application is submitted as soon as possible so we may include you in the interview schedule, anticipated in the next few months.

We encourage employer representatives; members from equity groups; PSAC trained facilitators; and members of other bargaining agents whose union is a member of the National Joint Council to apply.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
