General Meeting June 4th, 2019 – Meeting Minutes

- Updates from the PRC
- Sister Krysty Thomas gave a brief report from the PRC Face-to-Face Meeting in Winnipeg. The PRC attended 1919 Strike Celebrations and heard from PSAC leaders Chris Aylward and Magali Picard regarding the Phoenix compensation and the state of Bargaining.
- Finance Committee would like to put forward a motion that funds from the 2020 unallocated surplus of up to $9,000.00 be used to fund a 1-1/2 day meeting to review and make recommendations to the Prairie Region REVP on the Area Council and Prairie Region Committee financial packages.
- That the PRC approve up to $90,000.00 from Deferred Revenue to hold 5 strategic planning/financial training sessions as follows:
- one two-day session per Regional Office will be held in Sept/Oct. 2019 during the regular work week
- up to 4 executive members from each committee and area council in the regional office area will be fully funded
- all PRC members will be fully funded
- Regional Reps assigned to committees and area councils will attend funded through the Regional Office
- at least one member of the PRC Finance Committee will attend each session
- New policy of record retention, formal document will be provided to committees once completed.

- June 14, 2019 – Issue 1st bulletin to Locals to explain process and advise of registration deadline
- December 2, 2019 – Convention call-out & launch online registration. PRC Reps are responsible to register themselves online
- January 31, 2020 – Resolutions Deadline/Deadline for Prairie Voice Award Submissions
- March 1, 2020 – Registration deadline
- March 15, 2020 – Deadline for registration fee
- March 30, 2020 – Post resolutions, financials, and reports to the Prairies website
- June 12-14, 2020 – Prairie Region Triennial Convention
