2021 Convention Bulletin #9

This bulletin contains information on the extended deadline for the registration of delegates and observers.

DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR REGISTRATION OF DELEGATES AND OBSERVERS: MARCH 31, 2021 AT 12:00 PM CST / 11:00 AM MST. 

DELEGATE REGISTRATION

The deadline for locals to register delegates to the 2021 Prairie Region Convention being held virtually on June 24-27, 2021 has been extended to March 31, 2021 at 12:00 PM MB time and 11:00 AM SK and AB time (following the time change).

Any local that has not yet registered a delegate may still submit a completed credential and register new delegates or make any changes to the delegate names already submitted.  Locals must elect/select their delegates in accordance with their local bylaws and/or component bylaws and may be required to submit minutes.  Delegates from Locals will be fully funded in accordance with the PSAC Constitution.

There will be no further extensions or exceptions following the deadline of March 31.  Locals who do not register a delegate or have no elected alternates to replace a delegate not able to attend will not be able to register anyone after March 31st.  Observers must also register by the March 31st deadline.

Locals submitting new delegates names must submit a completed credential form to Prairies2020Convention@psac-afpc.com.  If changes are required to your current delegates, please submit an amended credential form.

OBSERVER REGISTRATION

As this is a virtual convention, any member in good standing may register as an observer. Observers must register by the March 31st deadline. As an observer, all expenses for participating including loss of salary are the responsibility of the member. Members should check with their local and/or component to see if any funding is available. Observers will be able to view the convention proceedings online but will not have voice or vote.

For members wishing to be an observer, you must submit a completed credential form to Prairies2020Convention@psac-afpc.com.
