Saskatoon Area Council October, 25, 2011
Present:

1. Election of Delegate to PSAC Triennial Convention
The election was run by Louise who laid out the process for the election.
Jackie was nominated by Karen, seconded by Evelyn.
Nancy was nominated by Mike, seconded by Colleen.
Louise asked the nominees if they would let their names stand and they agreed.
Elena arrived after voting had started and was therefore ineligible to vote.
Results: Nancy 4 votes: Jackie 3 votes. Nancy will be the delegate from the Area Council to the PSAC convention.
Nancy nominated Jackie for alternate delegate, seconded by Karen. There were no other nominations so Jackie will be Nancy’s alternate.
2. Discussion of resolutions
There were five resolutions handed out and discussed. These are attached with the changes proposed. Jackie will make the changes to the resolutions as discussed and email them to those present for approval. Linda and Colleen were unable to stay for the discussion on the resolutions.
3. Jackie made a motion to destroy the ballots seconded by Nancy: carried.
4. Discussion of the election mail out.
Most people had received their information which was mailed Friday afternoon. Some had to be mailed later as the postal machine ran out of ink. Louise said that a few had been returned to the regional office as the address was wrong so we can update our address list. No one reported any feedback either positive or negative.
