Meeting minutes
Attendees: Diana Fred, Christine McJannet, Paula Nygaard, Darlene McClure, Dawn MacAulay, Shelley Jamieson (PSAC staff)
1. Call to Order at 5:30pm.
2. PSAC Statement on Harassment agreed to by all.
3. Adoption of Agenda – moved by Paula, seconded by Darlene, accepted.
4. Adoption of Minutes of May 28, 2012 – moved by Darlene, seconded by Diana, accepted.
5. Chairs Report – nothing to report.
6. Treasurer Report – Paula reported that we have $4,307.60 in bank, there are a couple of deposits and payments to be made – moved by Paula, seconded by Darlene, accepted.
7. UPDATE – School Supply Drive – we have received a few thank you letters, so acknowledgement letter are required.
8. UPDATE – Toiletry Drive – we have received a few thank you letters, so acknowledgement letters are required, along with the thank you letter from the Nova House we received an invitation to attend their Board of Directors meeting – Paula said that she could attend and would invite Mona to go with her.
9. UPDATE – One Day Seminar – Paula spoke to how her CEIU did a 2-day seminar, and we very much appreciated the information but we felt we should focus on a 1-day seminar, we need to use up some of our monies or it could be taken away – various ideas were discussed.
10. NEW BUSINESS - Rallies such as Take Back the Night Winnipeg on September 19th and the Call to Action rally at noon on October 3rd at the Legislative building were discussed.
11. AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING – Season Celebration and One-Day Seminar.
