Chair’s Report
-Verbal report presented.
Events of the past year highlighted were:
-Women’s conference in Banff, Alberta, Red River Ex Booth, Toiletries to Shelters, Donations to charities and Breakfast for Learning program, Equity Conference, and Bill C-4.
-Sister Dawn MacAulay thanked the sisters for all their help throughout the year.
Treasurer’s Report
Report presented for Jan-Dec 2013
-MB Labour Christmas tree donation and Salary reimbursement for RWC work- cheques were issues in 2014
-One Day Women’s Conference was not able to be held in 2013 as planned but funds will be used when held in 2014
-Discussion on surplus balance and if there is a need to request funds for 2014
-Budget for 2014 will be drafted at next meeting with new executive

Delegate to 2014 Prairie Regional Convention
-Sister Dawn MacAulay nominated by Gloria Kelly seconded by Darlene McClure. ACCEPTED/ACCLAIMED
-Alternate name to follow as remaining members in attendance are already selected to go to convention by other avenues.
Resolution submissions to 2014 Prairie Regional Convention
Sister Gloria Kelly presented six resolutions for discussion. See attached
1. Child Care in Canada
2. Equity Seeking Members on the Alliance Executive Committee
3. Changes to workforce survey to include equity seeking groups
4. Protective Reassignment for pregnant and nursing mothers
5. Domestic Violence Awareness Education
Discussion to change in first Be It Resolved the word violence to violent
6. National Women’s Committee
Deadline for submission of Resolutions is March 5, 2014
Motion that the Winnipeg Regional Women’s Committee submit the following resolutions presented by the March 5th deadline.
- Motion Gloria Kelly/Darlene McClure
Sister Shelley Jamieson will submit resolutions on committee’s behalf by deadline.
New Business
-Year-end reports deadline is March 15
-Meeting on March 11th will be to plan 2014 year budget
-Sister Shelley Jamieson reported that some changes may take place regarding the Staff Role on Committees a document is being prepared to clarify their role.
