- Call to Order at 5:40pm
- Approval of previous meeting minutes- consensus
- New Ideas:
- Participate with the EDLC Labour Day BBQ Sept 7/15- EAC volunteer
- Updated membership listings with Locals in case of a strike & also for political action- Federal election.
- Advocate to politicians, actions to members to vote- hit list: First Nations, seniors homes, Charities, youth.
- James mentioned to have a group setting for political action.
- Murray suggested a package to be sent out to get communities/ members to vote. Look at the July 2 date.
Mentioned in the meeting that there could be an early election set in August, but the date for election is still set at Oct 19/15.
- Genevieve suggested to start doing something as of Canada Day with a positive spin “Do you love Canada? Then Vote in your next Federal election.”

- Region updates:
Door hangers for members to hand out on neighbors door to help with federal election campaign. More info to follow from National & region.
Robyn Benson & National leaderships will be touring Canada to help promote a change in government & Federal election. Please discuss as EAC if we can suggest a date for her to situate an apt for her attendance this summer.
Asking Area councils to have a general call out to locals to attend Area council.
- Ben has suggested an idea to promote to all Area councils regionally. The idea is to have a 2 day sick leave campaign across Canada. The campaign would be set for Sept 21 & 22. More discussion & planning are needed to fully support the campaign at our next meeting.
