Chair’s Report:
Summer Snack Program has many volunteers and most dates are already filled. Thankful that unions play a big role in giving back to the community. Nancy suggested that we plan a hotdog/pizza day as the program has expanded into additional parks and on weekends. She will contact the Area Council and her own local to support the PSAC day. Nancy will contact her daughter for best dates as she is working as a coordinator again this summer. Nancy provided an update for Childcare campaign and activities completed in May, sidewalk chalking with CUPE Sisters.
Labour Day BBQ- Committee members will assist with Area Council table, balloons/Frisbees and Nancy will think of something along childcare issues.
To date, we have not received our 2015 allocation, they were mailed out but we could not locate in office. No tracking of it being received at this time.
The committee will partner with SWCC with Take Back the Night events being planned in September.
