Attendees: Darlene McClure, Dawn MacAulay, Tania Lachance, Greg Ballendine, Wanda Quennell, Frank Jantz, Jen Botincan, Gloria Kelly, Gus Mardli, Lorelei Topnik

1. Call to Order at 5:42

2. Round table introductions

3. PSAC Statement on Harassment – Gloria moved that we consider it read, Darlene seconded, agreed to by all

4. Adoption of Agenda
- addition of an Update of the Red River Ex by Tracy (#6 and everything else moves down one) – moved by Lorelei, seconded by Tania, agreed to by all

5. Adoption of March and April's Minutes – unavailable (expected to be done by end of week)

6. Red River Ex Table – Tracy
- it’s coming up quickly, need more volunteers to fill in the evening slots
- we’ll meet on Monday, June 8th at 5:30 to make any last minute adjustments

7. Presidents Report
Was a live1. Gus spoke about how important political action is, it matters no matter your riding, even if you only hold a sign (Gus on YouTube “PSAC Commotion in Morden). Gus went on to speak about his experience in trying to see his MP, etc. He encouraged us to go and ask your MP a question.
- There was a lively discussion regarding budget request / allocation info, Gus to talk with Marianne to get more info
- a Labour Day flyer – OUR flyer, not CLC’s, or MLC, or whatever else
- a pop-up tent – a no go?
- Manitoba Energy Justice Coalition (MEJC)
- a PA system and a drum (Frank will send Gus the links)

Frank commented that he thought that maybe smaller venues might be a better way to spend money (Morden Corn & Apple Festival, Stonewall Quarry Days).

Gloria asked, will there be a direct election sight on the website? She’s willing to do the work on it.)

Tanya suggested putting flyers into hospitals, doctor’s offices, schools, etc. We’d have to coordinate with those unions to maybe do this.

8. Treasurer's Report
- balance is $248.45
- have $250 to deposit
- Gus has applied to the Ag Union for $100, Lorelei moved, Darlene seconded, all in favour

9. Targeted Riding of Elmwood – Transcona
- need to know when the money is available

A lively discussion ensued. Greg will have a proposal / budget ready.

10. Social Justice Fund
- Ndinawe will be working on the garden
- no other report available

11. MEJC Organizing Committee Report by Tania LaChanceReport
- Peddle and Paddle coming up on July 4th
- there was a meeting with Janice
- still need 40 volunteers
- anyone can paddle, sign up on the website
- party afterwards at The Forks
- also need volunteers this Saturday, June 30th to go to St Norbert to get people to sign the petition, training beforehand, meet at St Norbert Market, 2 different start times

We are “fracking” here in Manitoba.

12. Frank – USGE just had they’re President’s Conference and PSAC Convention - talk about information overload!!
- will be visiting all of our USG locals, starting off in the north, moving down to the south, looking to engage our membership
- will be going cross Canada as well if this works out
- we’re interested in touching base with other component locals, please pass on contact information to us so we can try to connect with them
