1.    Call to Order and Welcome – L. Paterson 5:40

3.    Financial Report

-       Current balance of $558.41

-       Budget Requests have been submitted totaling approx. $7400.00

-       Motion: to write three separate cheques for outstanding IWD commitments: $617.25 to RecExcellence for free swim attendees, $99.89 for Refreshments served at the film night and $60 for Library room rental to show film. K. Munns/D. White/ C

4.    IWD Review of Events:

-      Free Swim Event: 144 attendees!!! Excellent turnout. Advertising on the City of Lethbridge, Swap & Buy and Roast & Toasts sites turned out to be very successful. Next year we need to print up posters and give to both pools ahead of time for their doorways.

-      Film Screening: 26 attendees. Hoping to have a better turnout by holding the next one at the downtown library location, really good though for our first try at this!

5.    New and Ongoing Business

-      Prairie Regional Women’s Conference: Application is online, is pretty extensive. Will be held on June 11 and 12th in Winnipeg.

-      AGM Planning: Lyn to submit Committee report to regional office, Diane to book Osho’s and send out call out.  

-      Alberta Federation of Labour:

• Write-up: Due asap. Our committee will be nominating a very deserving sister; Krysty working on this.
• Childcare Lobby Day: April 12th, 2016 in Edmonton. RO will send two people fully funded to attend. You will learn to speak with MLA’s about childcare. Krysty and Lyn interested and will check with Cheyenne to get more information.

6.   Varia

-     Dorothy: Collection of feminine hygiene products for refugees. Dorothy will email the committee with more information.

-     AGR is holding a Women in Science panel discussion March 23rd from 10:30 to 12:00 at the Research Centre.

Motion: to spend up to $50 to support the Women in Science event. K. Munns/M. Herman/C
