President’s Report:
Jackie stated that she didn’t have much to report at this time and reminded us about the dates for Prairie Region Convention being held in April 2017.

Pride Parade was attended by PSAC members Nancy Johnson, Jim Austin, Doug Kopko and Jackie Nettleton. We handed out PSAC pride tattoos and fans. Highest turn out to date. Pictures of the event were forwarded to Matthew and posted on the Prairies Facebook page. Jackie thanked Nancy for organizing the volunteers and getting the flags.

Treasurer’s Report:
Bank balance as of May 31, 2016 statement was $126.70. There were some outstanding issues from the 2015 finances, that Nancy completed the requests as per REVP’s office. Still waiting on allocation for 2016. Nancy provided copy of bank of UTD bank statements for committee to review. There are still outstanding expenses to be paid for April 28th Day of Mourning wreath and stand, and meeting. Evelyn will continue as Treasurer temporarily until Nancy finishes her term assignment.

Motion to reimburse Nancy for cost of wreath and stand of $165.00. m/s Jackie, Jim

Labour Day BBQ:
Jackie stated that she would not be around this Labour Day as she has family commitments and asked if anyone would take the planning on this year. Nancy advised that her Admin term is up end of August but that no matter she would arrange with SDLC the commitment to attend and arrange volunteers. We are excited to debut our new PSAC event tent.

Roundtable:
Nancy asked Jackie what happened with the United Way Day of Caring and she informed that she wasn’t notified by UW this year of the event. She would contact Andrea Howe about it to ensure we are on the list for 2017.

Louise stated that the June 8th Day of Action was well received any more locals participated and sent in photos that Matthew posted to the PSAC Prairies Facebook page. It helped that we had two members Shannon Blum and Val Illingworth come into the office on LWOP to call locals about the event. High priority for members to be visual as bargaining teams head back to the table.

Evelyn stated it was difficult to hold any plant gates at the base due to its location. She reaches out to her members in person and keeps them informed about activities in the city and members attend when the can.

Minutes completed by N. Johnson and approved at October 20, 2016 meeting
