It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Shannon.
So many of us have worked with Sister Shannon over the years. She was a passionate educator, dedicated activist and an exceptional regional education officer.
She really is the reason that many of us are where we are today. She didn’t just educate; she built activists. And our union is better for her unwavering commitment to quality education.
Most importantly, though, she was a thoughtful and considerate friend, mother, and wife. She will be remembered for her strong will and big heart. We know we speak for all members in the Prairies when we say she will be deeply missed.
Our sincerest condolences go out to Judy’s family and loved ones.
