It’s been a year. #FixPhoenix
One year ago, the Liberal government began its rollout of Phoenix, the consolidated payroll system for the public service.
Since then, thousands of public service workers have been paid incorrectly or not at all. Many more worry every pay day if they will be the next victim of the Phoenix debacle. It is also putting excessive stress on the employees who process pay under the new system.
On Friday, February 24th, PSAC will mark the first anniversary of Phoenix by drawing attention to the Phoenix pay system and its continuing problems.

Join other PSAC members across Canada and let the Liberal government know that one year of pay problems is one year too many.
Here are some ways you can participate:
- Call your MP’s constituency office. When these offices receive calls from constituents, MPs take notice. According to Open Parliament, Phoenix has been raised 478 times in the House of Commons. We have a short script to help you make the call.
- Tweet or write to your MP.
- Send a letter to Prime Minister Trudeau.
- Share your thoughts about the one-year anniversary of Phoenix in a few words on Twitter, tagging @JustinTrudeau and your MP, with the hashtag #FixPhoenix.
- Take a picture with a message about Phoenix, and share it on social media.
- Any other actions you might want to take to raise awareness (e.g. gather with coworkers outside at lunch in front of your workplace or in front of your local MP’s office).
- Change your Facebook profile picture using our Phoenix graphic.
