Call to Order:
Br Sexton called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm
Agenda:

PSAC Statement of Harassment:
Sr Norman appointed as harassment coordinator for the meeting
Previous Minutes:
Minor amendment of spelling, and PRC update to note subsidies for Convention were proposed and passed. M – Sr Grant, Sec – Br Johnston. Adopted with amendments.
Treasurer’s Report:
Annual Statement presented. M – Br Johnston, Sec – Br Kaminski. Adopted as presented.
Proposed budget for 2017 presented. M – Br Johnston, Sec – Br Weisgerber. Adopted as presented.
Agenda Items:
- Bargaining updates
1. TB groups – upcoming ratification votes. Br Weisgerber advised that Shilo will be Mar 22nd.
2. FB group – PIC filed on Feb 8th
- United Way Christmas Tree Auction report. Br Johnston updated $38,505 was total amount raised at the event (record for the Auction). WMAC was able to purchase two trees this year, our own for $1200 and a second for $1000. The leftover funds raised were donated to the UW ($800). Also noted, the news article that was printed in the Shilo Stag with picture of the WMAC volunteers at the event. Volunteers this year were Br Johnston UNDE, Br Sexton UTE, Sr Norman APSAR, Sr Pliszka UNDE, Br and Sr Lamb UNDE, Sr Truscott UNDE, Sr Walker UNDE and former UNDE member Br Walker.
- Decision to conduct elections after points from the floor.
Points from the floor:
- Bill C27 – PSAC form letter online. UTE encouraging members to write the PM or local MP. Members need to know – This Bill WILL affect your pension.
- Prairie Voice Awards. Awarded at Triennial Convention. Deadline for nominations is March 23.
- Phoenix – 1 year anniversary actions were Feb 24. Reminders to members to check T4’s, not all are showing the same as paystub info. Watch this especially with LWOP (Union Leave, etc).
- Our History convention slideshow call out for photos. Deadline to submit is April 13.
- Call for nominations for Prairies REVP and Alternate. Contact Tracy Thor at the Winnipeg Regional Office for more information.
- Winter/Spring Education Schedule has been posted to the website.
- Letter from REVP Hladun with subsidy amounts for Convention and notice that registration fees for delegates will be paid from the unallocated surplus.
Sr Matias-Bouchard took over as Chair of the meeting for the election of President and Treasurer.
- Sr Matias-Bouchard conducted the election for President.
Br Johnston nominated Br Sexton (S – Br Kaminski).
Br Sexton nominated Br Johnston (S – Sr Grant).
No other nominations. Br Johnston declined the position, Br Sexton acclaimed.
- Sr Matias-Bouchard conducted the election for Treasurer.
Br Kaminski nominated Br Johnston (S - Sr Grant).
Called 2nd and 3rd with no other nominations. Br Johnston acclaimed.
Br Sexton resumed Chair upon completion of elections.
Oath of Office:
Sr Matias-Bouchard completed the Oath of Office with Br Sexton and Br Johnston for terms as President and Treasurer, respectively.
Adjournment:
Next meeting tentatively scheduled for May 3rd. Br Sexton adjourned the meeting in record time at 6:15 pm
