Prairie Region Council February 2016
Due to our meeting late in November instead of August, there is not much to report as it was quiet over Christmas.
I attended area council meeting on January 21st as brother Satinder was away.
The All Candidates forum went well but next time we should have a Psac member there to ask questions pertaining to PSAC top three issues.
Keith spoke about the upcoming national lobbying campaign. Psac is looking for volunteers to lobby their Members of Parliament to ensure our new government keeps their word
Speaking notes will be provided and training will be given to the volunteers.
Area council is also working on ideas for encouraging members to make an informed vote on the upcoming provincial elections in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Mail outs and telephone town halls are some of the ideas so far. Marianne asked area council to present a budget for her review.
PRC communications committee held a brief meeting on January 26th to discuss any unfinished business before Jeffrey's leave on January 29th. Tents will be ordered by end of February and available for use by our components hopefully this summer.
PRC next meetings will be held on Feb 19-21st in Saskatoon.
