PRAIRIE REGIONAL COUNCIL REPORT FOR
PRINCE ALBERT & DISTRICT AREA COUNCIL

As this is only my 3rd meeting as a member of PRC I do not have a lot to report on for the 3 year term. Please refer to my November 2106 report for details on what occurred during that period.
15 November 2016 – PA AC had a general meeting. During this meeting we discussed recruitment both for PRC and for education. It was decided that a recruitment drive would need to occur. Further to this, the committee decided to hold off on elections until the meeting in January in hopes we would have a bigger committee at that time.
14 December 2016 – A major disturbance occurred at Saskatchewan Penitentiary. As many of the Area Council members are from Sask. Pen all initiatives were put on hold.
11 January 2017 – An area council meeting was held, and elections occurred. I was elected to the position of PRC Representative for another term, and Sr. Penny Young was elected as my alternate.
It is still my intention to meet with as many of the locals in my area as will allow it to discuss the importance of area council. I did attempt to attend the RCMP general meeting in November but was informed that their agenda was too full and asked not to come.
