PSAC REGINA WOMEN’S COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES – AUGUST 2, 2017
Call to order 5:35 P.M.
In attendance: Michelle Lang, Dani Aubichon, Sandra Ahenakew. PSAC Rep Martha Johnson
Minutes from April 12, 2017 minutes reviewed and approved – no changes.
Financial Report: Balance $2,412,.16
Michelle moved to reimburse Sandra Ahenakew $11.50 for purchasing tobacco for 2017 MMIW. Dani seconded.
MMIW 2017 – walk went well. RWC will start planning for the 4th and final Mother’s Day Walk for MMIW.
ACTION: Sandra will contact FNUniv about using the facility for a feast after the 2018 MMIW walk. Contact Roland Kayseas at university.
New Business
• RWC will be hosting a Women’s Self Defense in September – possible date September 27, 2017 from 7-9 P.M. Event will be open to women from Sophia House and Interval House.
• Open House for all PSAC Committees – Invite affiliates. Ask for non-perishable food donations for the Food Bank.
• Adopt a Senior for Christmas
