On behalf of all PSAC members in the Prairies, our thoughts are with the workers and families affected by the devastating Kenow Fire, which has now moved into the Waterton Lakes National Park and adjacent areas. UNE members working at Parks Canada are the caretakers of our national parks and they do so with much pride and respect for these protected areas.
Thank you to all Parks Canada employees who ensured the evacuation was done safely and without incident.
Our thoughts are with all Parks Canada members and the residents of Waterton. Many thanks to the many firefighters who were quickly on site at Waterton townsite and continue to work at keeping the fire away from town structures.
We encourage everyone to stay safe and abide by the safety and evacuation notices.
