    • Note previous meeting expenditure of $52 was actual $70.25

2. Resolutions

  • Various resolutions were discussed and five was passed by consensus
    1. Addressing Gender Inequity in the Public Service Health Care Plan
      • Passed at Prairie Regional Convention
    2. Family Care Policy
    3. Job Security and Term Freeze
    4. Rights for Temporary Foreign Workers in Canada
      • Noted one member abstained
    5. Sex Worker Health and Safety

3. Lethbridge and District Labour Council Labour Day Picnic

  • September 4, 2017 at Kinsmen Park

4. Activities

  • Had discussion of the summer activities for each local and for the Area Council
    1. The Area Council food bank garden, support of Pride
    2. Locals supporting the Public Service Week boycott
      • Had their own activities
    3. Locals had information sessions on Phoenix
      • Plant Gate
      • Rallies       

7. Actions:

1. Treasurer to change address for banking to new Regional Office address

  •  - Pay fee for paper statements

2. Discussion about upcoming education

  •  - Tell the RO about training needs

3. Sister Munns

  • Get a meeting with the MP to discuss issues
  • Had a meeting with Minister for Children’s Services and MLA for Lethbridge East over child care
