Minutes of the Saskatoon Regional Women’s Committee October 28, 2017
Attendance: Leila White, Ann Mills, Christina Creusot, Rabia Chaudhari, Meghan Pryor, Krista Cairns, France Tremblay-Franc, Marie Stradeski, Shauna Ward, Shannon Blum, Janette Husak, Brenda Schreiner, Laurie Nesbitt and Joanne Starchuk.
Agenda:
This meeting was advertised as a Women’s social with the objective of recruiting membership for the Saskatoon and possibly the Prince Albert RWC. The committee took advantage of the opportunity to include participants who were attending the one day “Women’s Place is in her Union” the following day.
Leila presented information to the group describing the mandate of the RWC and what it hopes to accomplish in the new year.
She advised that we will have the yearly planning session at the next meeting in December and hopes all can come to participate. Leila also offered the assistance of the Saskatoon RWC to help resurrect the Prince Albert RWC.
This presentation was followed by a wellness exercise lead by Leila White and Joanne Starchuk – “Laughter Yoga”.
Leila also participated in part of the workshop (next day) where she was able to answer more questions about the RWC.
