Women's Committee meeting - May 27, 2014
In Attendance: Michelle Lang, Cherylyn Shewchuck, Raelene Ramnes, Diane Allen
Call to Order at 5:35pm
Michelle will be phoning the bank to have signing authority changed so Raelene and Daniela can also sign cheques.
Election for Delegate to Tri annual Convention being held in SaskatoonSaskatchewan June 27-29/14.
Raelene will be going as a delegate.
Talk of volunteer work
Michelle called Habitat for humanity
To work at building sites it is Tues-Sat 8:30 to 4:00
To work at the Restore it is Mon-Sat 9 to 5
Raelene contacted the Alzheimer society, they don't need any volunteers right now. But if they are need of any then they will contact Raelene.
Take back the Night, Michelle will be in contact with the organizers. This will be taking place June 4th/14 at 10:00 in Regina at City Hall.
Raelene will be contacting the United way.
Pride Parade will be in Regina and will be held on June14th/14. Michelle and Daniela will be attending.
The Women's committee will be looking at doing the following activities
Seminars on different issues,
Mental Health First Aid,
Intimidation and bullying in the work place,
and Self Defence classes
Next meeting will be held on June 17th/14
