Minutes of May 30th, 2013

Foodbank Garden:
Nancy provided the details of the garden and the website address as well as discussed the garden flyer “What Teams Can Expect from Us and What We Expect from Teams”.
All planting seeds will be provided, there is a garden wish list for such items as various garden tools, organic materials and row cover fabric.
Planting will start next Monday, June 3rd between 4-8. Karen, Rosemary and Nancy are available that evening. If others can make it, just show up, Nancy will be there at 5 pm.
The committee members are excited to get this community project going as we have been trying for last two years to get on the list. Curtis Veale’s local will also have a plot beside ours.
Resolutions:
Nancy provided copies of the resolutions that were passed at the Regional Women’s conference in Banff in May and asked that we think of any other resolutions that we might want to submit for the upcoming National Human Rights conference being held in November in Toronto. The RWC is entitled to send one delegate and consensus was that Karen Zoller would be our representative.
Next Meeting:
Our next meeting will be June 11th and will deal with any possible resolutions and summer snack program volunteers.
Nancy will prepare notice for volunteers and schedule of PSAC members.
