Report to the Prairie Region Council
November 2011
Since the Prairie Region Convention in June, 2011 we continue to hold Westman Area meetings, and continue to encourage members to attend. We have received the required support from three components and will be starting an Area Women’s Committee. I have been attending the Brandon Labour Council Meetings on a regular basis to help promote our Area Council and the different campaigns that PRC is involved with such as the Don’t Cut Public Service. I spoke to the workers on the Canada Post picket line and informed them that they could picket around the Federal Building in Brandon which they did and received coverage in the Brandon Sun.
The Westman Area Council will be participating in the United Way Christmas Tree auction in Brandon on December 9, 2011. We will be decorating a tree and the tree will be given to a family in Brandon.
