The Public Service Alliance of Canada will be holding an electronic vote for members of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to ratify the tentative agreement between PSAC and CFIA. The voting period will be from January 15 to February 15, 2018.

SWUBU (Student Workers Union of Brandon University) reached a tentative collective agreement with the university late Tuesday, November 28th. A ratification vote will be held in January to determine whether members accept this agreement.

The Liberal government has introduced a new bill, C-62, that will reverse the attacks made by the former Conservative government on the collective bargaining rights of federal public service workers.

Our bargaining team will resume negotiations with Parks Canada from November 21 – 24, 2017 in the nation’s capital. Our team is eager to make further progress towards a fair collective agreement for over 4,000 employees working at Parks Canada locations nationwide.

Winnipeg Airports Authority and the Public Service Alliance of Canada are pleased to announce an agreement has been reached to bring striking WAA employees back to work.

Late Sunday evening (October 1st), the PSAC/UCTE 50600 bargaining team reached a tentative agreement with the Winnipeg Airport Authority. The bargaining team is unanimously recommending acceptance and ratification votes are scheduled for Wednesday, October 4th. No details on the tentative agreement will be released until the members have an opportunity to meet and vote on Wednesday. If the agreement is ratified, our members will start returning to work on Thursday and you can once again use the Winnipeg airport.
