The Union of Taxation Employees is hosting a webinar information session on May 19 to update Prairie members on the status of barganing.

In light of the slow pace of negotiations with the new Liberal government, the PSAC is calling on members to boycott the government’s National Public Service Week to be held June 12-18 this year.

Treasury Board bargaining teams met this week for the first time since the election of the new Liberal government. We brought forward proposals addressing the needs that were identified by the membership and continue to work toward achieving a fair collective agreement. Given the Liberals’ election promises, we expected this government to bring forward a new bargaining mandate. In fact there was little indication of a change in approach. 

NAV Canada Ratification Vote The PSAC bargaining team representing UCTE members at NAV Canada have reached a tentative agreement. The employer has agreed to a one year extension of the current collective agreement.   A ratification vote for Local UCTE 30313 has been scheduled. Date: Monday, February 22, 2016

Bargaining dates have now been set for February 1-5.  While the teams initially expected to bargain in December, these dates were delayed to give the new government time to improve its mandate.
